Is Held Fresh easy to use?

Absolutely! Fill a compatible bag, close the double zipper securely with the sealing clip, position the vacuum sealer over the valve, and press the button to extract air. No complicated setup required.

Can I use it with foods that contain marinades or moisture?

Of course! Held Fresh features a detachable liquid collection chamber with a visible MAX marking, allowing you to moitor collected moisture during sealing. Follow the product instructions for liquid limits and suitable foods, and empty the chamber as directed.

Can the bags be reused?

Yes. The bags are designed for reuse where appropriate. Follow the cleaning and drying instructions, and discard bags that are damaged or have held foods that make safe reuse unsuitable.

How do I know the bags will stay sealed?

To ensure the bags are closed correctly before sealing, first press on the zipper lining at the top of bag. You should hear it snap shut as you work your way across the width of the bag. Take the sealing clip and attach it to the edge of the lining. Press your finger and squeeze the clip as you slide it across the lining to trap whatever air is currently in the bag inside. This will ensure the tightest seal before vacuum sealing your food.

If you find that the bag fills with air during storage, remove the contents and lay the bag on a flat surface. Gently press on the air valve with the palm of your hand, then reseal the contents.

How large are the included bags? Are there different sizes available for purchase?

Both small and medium bags are included with your kit.

Small bags are 8.7 inches in length and 8.3 inches wide. Medium bags are 11 inches long and 10.2 inches wide.

How do I clean the vacuum sealer?

It's simple! Remove the liquid collection tank from the device and empty. Separate the silicone suction cap from the collection tank. Clean the tank, silicone suction cup, and bottom of the device with warm water and anti-bacterial dish soap to prevent cross contamination between uses, especially after handling raw poultry, beef and seafood. Make sure to keep the device upright when cleaning and drying.

Will it take up much room?

Not at all. The handheld design fits easily into a kitchen drawer, while flexible bags help you store suitable foods in compact portions that neatly fit in your fridge and freezer and free up storage space.

How long does the battery last?

Seal in freshness over 200 times each charge. Just long enough that "the battery died" never becomes the reason you skipped keeping something fresh.

Does vacuum sealing replace refrigeration or freezing?

No. Vacuum sealing helps protect food quality by reducing air exposure, but proper temperatures, handling, and recommended storage times still apply.

What if I need help with my device or it stops working?

Your device comes with a one-year warranty.

Devices that become dysfunctional within a year of the purchase date of the original device can be exchanged for a new device, however they are not eligible for a refund.
